Crop images
Crop an image by double-clicking it, adjusting the crop area, moving or scaling the image, and exiting crop mode.
Trim away the parts of an image you don't need, tighten your framing, or switch to a common aspect ratio, all without leaving the canvas.

Crop an image
Open the photo library from the left toolbar, or drag an image file onto the artboard to upload your own.
Double-click the image to enter crop mode, or select it and choose Crop from the More menu on the contextual toolbar.
Use the side handles to adjust the crop area.
Pick one of the aspect ratio presets (1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 2:1, or 1:2) to snap to a common ratio, or hold Shift while dragging a handle to lock your current ratio.
Move or scale the image inside the crop frame to fine-tune the composition.
Click Done in the side panel to apply your crop. Click outside the image or press Escape to do the same, or click Reset first to clear the crop area and start over.
Expected outcome
Your image now shows only the area inside the crop frame, at the ratio you chose.
Common questions
Can I change my crop later?
Yes. Double-click the image again anytime to reopen crop mode and adjust the framing or ratio.
How is cropping different from Reframe?
Cropping trims your image down to a specific area. Reframe does the opposite, it extends your canvas and fills in new content around your image to change its aspect ratio without losing anything you already have. Use crop to focus in, and Reframe to expand out.
